and on another note...
I'll probably be selling a bunch of stuff when i get back to the uk in july; things I haven't missed while I've been here and don't feel I especially need. this is as much for my reference, but if anyone's interested...

- my eltax floorstander speakers (unless i sold them to mike, er, i can't remember?)

- my sony psp 2000, with; patapon (*sniff*), loco roco, echochrome, 40k:squad command, MGS:portable ops. Or I might sell the games separately if it looks like i'll get better money. In fact, they seem to be going on ebay Australia for about what I bought mine for, so I may just sell it here, and take the games home - i left the cases so they wouldn't sell for much.

- my xbox and most of it's games
- probably a load of my xbox 360 games
- maybe even my playstation 1? problably not worth it...
- one of my film SLRs; a Canon 1000f, with either a canon 35-80 lens or a sigma 28-80, either way it's a good camera for someone looking to get into shooting film.

- maybe a load of 40k stuff, bit of a hassle though, I don't want to part with all of it but that means putting up lots of fiddly, small, low value ebay auctions. I should bit the bullet and get rid of a big chunk of it, I won't get round to painting or gaming with a good 70% of what I have.

- my video kaoss pad, probably. I can get up to twice what I paid for it and although I do sometimes use it, not that much.

lol, parting with GW stuff always seems to be painful. If you get cold feet you know I can store it for you...?

oh, and yes, it is rather painful... it's because you spend so much time, money and effort as a teenager buying, assembling and painting an army. It becomes a very personal thing that you've invested heavily in. It actually holds it's value pretty well, too, compared to a lot of other hobby type things. You can even turn a profit on painted stuff, but that's the hardest to let go of...

Which 360 games are you thinking of offloading? Not that I'm likely to be able to afford any, but on the off-chance...

Depending what 40k stuff you've got, I might be up for buying some or could set you up with friends who would possibly buy fairly big chunks of it....

If you decide to get rid of it, that is.

hmm... I have a load of imperial guard tanks that it'd be nice to see go into good hands. 3 leman russes, a demolisher, a basilisk, a chimera, and the flamethrower one that i forget the name of. They're mostly painted desert camo with humbrol paints which is a bit of a pain. I've got a load of tallarns too.

I've got bucketloads of Eldar too but i doubt you'd be interested?

I would very definitely be interested in the Tallarns and the basilisk myself. I'm actually pretty good for other tanks right now, I'm afraid.

One of my friends also has IG and might be interested in the other tanks and I've got two friends who collect Eldar but I dunno if they need more stuff for their armies. I'll be seeing them this week so I can let you know if they're likely to want big chunks of army or if they're just after specific kind of things. Either way, once you're back I could happily hand over cash and pick up stuff in person if you do want to sell this lot.

Judging by ebay, you'll probably get a pretty good price for the tanks - the new guard codex actually just came out and ups the number of tanks you can field, so they'll probably be flavour of the month til autumn. I'll drop you a line later in the week and let you know if friends are interested.

oh, sweet. last time i looked IG tanks weren't going for much on ebay, else i'd have sold them before i left.

I don't know how much of my eldar I want to part with, i've got a fair whack of stuff though so if they want any specific stuff let me know, there's a good chance I have it.

It'd be nice to get back into playing actually, hmm.

why selling the xbox and 360? true you've not missed it while you've been working, but when you get back to edinburgh you'll want it presumably?

not selling the 360, just some games. As for the oldschool xbox, well, it's not like i especially need it any more, there's hardly any games on it i play.

Well, I only kept the xbox because the 360 doesn't do a good job of playing xbox games; a lot of them run really badly because it's basically a computer running an emulator. I think I've pretty much played all the xbox one games i like to death though.
